Vietnam the launched a consulate office in Macau. As reported by Vietnam News Agency, The Vietnamese Consulate General in Hong Kong and Macau held a ceremony on Friday to launch the consulate office with Trần Thanh Huân stating that the office aims to improve the safeguarding of rights of Vietnamese citizens and tourists in the region.
It also wants to give both locals and “international friends” access to information about Vietnam which will help boost cooperation between the two countries.
The report says that Macau is home to around 20,000 Vietnamese, most of which are domestic workers or service staff at casinos.
