Eleven men and three women have been charged with cheating Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands of nearly S$1.2 million.

Arrested were 13 Thai nationals and a Laotian man, all charged with colluding to win cash chips during an evening of baccarat play earlier this month. According to police, the group had devised a scheme that enabled them to learn the sequence of cards in advance. The money was won over the course of about three hours, police said.

All were being held for arraignment in Singapore and further investigation, according to a report in the Straits Times.
