Record set for Macau daily gaming revenues in February

Macau casinos set a new daily gross gaming revenue record on February 8, raking in MOP 1.48 billion (USD 185 million), according to news agency Lusa.
The previous record was set in October 2010, at MOP 1.33 billion.
Unnamed sources from the gaming industry told Lusa that, although February started with low gross gaming revenues, business has been picking up, achieving the same levels as in previous months.
“Although there were some peaks, February is following the trend of the last couple of months,” a source told Lusa.
Some gaming operators have even announced good results for the Chinese New Year holidays.
