German gaming giant Merkur Group has acquired a “significant stake” in premium ETG supplier Spintec d.o.o. – expanding on a technological partnership that began in 2019.
The two companies announced the deal on Tuesday, describing it as a new chapter in the companies’ collaboration.
“Spintec is a highly innovative and successful ETG specialist, distinguished above all by outstanding quality and a strong global footprint,” said Dominik Raasch, Management Board Member of Merkur Games.
“This investment is a real asset for the Merkur Group and an important driver of our international growth strategy.”
In a joint statement, the companies said the success of their recent partnership – which has seen them exhibit together at major industry trade shows such as ICE and G2E – has been built on the combination of Spintec’s state-of-the-art ETG technology and Merkur Group’s reliable distribution structure, international network and long-standing customer relationships.
“Our collaboration creates valuable synergies that enable us to bring these high-quality ETG solutions to a significantly broader audience,” Raasch continued. “Building on our achievements to date and further expanding this especially successful strategic partnership was therefore the natural next step for both sides.”
Spintec is among the world’s leading developers, manufacturers and suppliers of Electronic Table Games. It offers compact and amphitheatre gaming solutions renowned for cutting-edge design and technical precision, and has established a strong presence in Latin America, North America, Europe and across large parts of Asia.
Merkur said the collaboration with Spintec expands both the group’s global reach as well as its product portfolio.

In a recent interview with Inside Asian Gaming, Spintec’s Global Sales Director, Goran Sovilj, outlined plans to expand the company’s presence in Macau, describing a recent Macau court ruling that could open the stadium gaming market up to international operators as a “massive opportunity”.
