Bloomberry Resorts Corp recently held a Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at each of its Manila integrated resorts – Solaire Resort Entertainment City and Solaire Resort North.
The ceremony held at Solaire Resort Entertainment City was attended by Paranaque City Mayor, Edwin Olivarez; PAGCOR Chairman and CEO, Alejandro Tengco; Department of Tourism Assistant Secretary, Sharlene Batin; Bloomberry Resorts Corporation Vice Chairman for Construction and Regulatory Affairs, Donato Almeda; Solaire Resort’s Senior Vice President of Resort Operations, David Batchelor; and Executive Vice President and Head of Gaming, Cyrus Sherafat.
Guests were treated to performances by Filipino musical theater actress Carla Guevara Laforteza, the graceful dancers of Ballet Philippines and the soul-stirring Ambassadors of Christ Chamber Singers – all unfolding beneath the glow of the resort’s Christmas trees.
As part of the Christmas celebrations, from 15 November the Coro Regina Coeli and the Ambassadors of Christ Chamber Singers will serenade guests every weekend, while on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, Santa Claus will make special appearances to spread further holiday cheer.

At Solaire Resort North, the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony recently took place in the Atrium Lobby as residents of Quezon City and beyond gathered together.
Guests of honor at the event included Quezon City Mayor, Joy Belmonte; PAGCOR Chairman and CEO, Alejandro Tengco; Department of Tourism – National Capital Region Assistant Regional Director, Ivan Agote; Bloomberry Resorts Corporation Vice Chairman for Construction and Regulatory Affairs, Donato Almeda; and Solaire Resort North’s Chief Operating Officer, Damian Quayle.
Hosted by Carla Guevara Laforteza, the ceremony aimed to encapsulate the meaning of Christmas with performances by the country’s premiere dance company, Ballet Philippines, as well as serenades from the Ambassadors for Christ Chamber Singers.
During the ceremony, the Department of Tourism (DOT) awarded Solaire Resort North with a plaque officiating its status as a 5-star property. The Quezon City-based integrated resort earned its title from the DOT in July 2025, solidifying its reputation as the premiere luxury destination in Northern Metro Manila.
