Foreigner-only casino operator Grand Korea Leisure reported casino sales of KRW34.3 billion (US$23.6 million) in January, down 11.3% compared with December although 75.3% higher than the same period in 2024.
GKL’s January casino sales comprised an 11.9% sequential decrease in table game revenue to KRW31.4 billion (US$21.6 million) and a 4.3% decrease in slots revenue to KRW2.93 billion (US$2.0 million). This came on a 3.2% month-on-month and 12.1% year-on-year decline in drop amount to KRW266.7 billion (US$184 million).
The company recently reported FY24 casino sales of KRW393.6 billion (US$268 million), down 0.9% on the same period last year.
GKL operates three casinos in South Korea and Seoul and Busan under the Seven Luck brand.
