Foreigner-only casino operator Grand Korea Leisure ended a run of consecutive sequential declines in November, with casino revenue rising 21.1% month-on-month and 32.6% year-on-year to KRW37.0 billion (US$26.1 million).
GKL’s casino revenue comprised a 21.4% sequential increase in table revenue to KRW33.7 billion (US$23.8 million) and an 18.7% increase in slots revenue to KRW3.25 billion (US$2.3 million). This came despite a 7.4% month-on-month decline in drop amount to KRW290.0 billion (US$205 million).
Casino revenue for the first 11 months of 2024 combined sits at KRW354.9 billion (US$250 million), down 2.1% on the same period last year.
Table drop of KRW3.37 trillion (US$2.38 billion) through November is up 11.4% year-on-year.
GKL operates three casinos in South Korea and Seoul and Busan under the Seven Luck brand.
