Lotte Tour’s Korean integrated resort, Jeju Dream Tower, reported a 45.5% year-on-year increase in casino revenues to KRW26.1 billion (US$18.6 million) in November, which was also 7.8% higher than October.
According to information filed with the Korea Exchange, November’s casino revenue included KRW24.9 billion (US$17.7 million) in table revenue, up 7.4% month-on-month, and KRW1.22 billion (US$868,000) in machine revenue, up 15.2%.
Table drop of KRW133.1 billion (US$94.7 million) was up 13.9% year-on-year but down 2.9% sequentially.
Hotel revenue in November fell by 16.2% year-on-year and 27.7% month-on-month to KRW5.56 billion (US$3.96 million).
For the first 11 months of 2024 combined, casino revenue has reached KRW271.1 billion (US$193 million), up 96.3% year-on-year, while hotel revenue is down by 6.7% to KRW79.1 billion (US$56.3 million).
Jeju Dream Tower is the tallest building in Jeju at 38 floors or 169 meters high and features a retail mall, 14 restaurants and bars, an outdoor pool deck, top floor skydeck with lounge, two spas and a casino boasting 150 tables and 300 slot machines.
The casino was relocated from its former home at the smaller Lotte Hotel Jeju in June 2021 and covers more than 5,000 square meters, offering 141 gaming tables, 190 slot machines and 71 electronic table games.
