The AGEM Index – a monthly stock performance guide comprising 12 global gaming suppliers – fell by 0.5% or 5.10 points to 945.8 points in March, despite Konami and Aristocrat both booking month-on-month gains.
The index was also down by 1.0% or 9.59 points compared with the same month in 2022 as six of the 12 AGEM Index companies reported stock price increases.
According to the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM), which compiles the index, the largest positive contributor to the index in March was Konami whose %1.0 increase in stock price led to a 4.70-point gain to the index. Aristocrat also contributed a 3.94-point gain on 1.8% increase in its stock price.
The largest negative contribution to the index was Crane Co, whose 5.2% decrease in stock price resulted in a 7.19-point loss for the AGEM Index.
All three major U.S. stock indices saw month-over-month increases in March. The NASDAQ increased by 6.7% from February, while the S&P 500 grew by 3.5% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average by 1.9%.
