Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau has announced the relaunch of Vasco Bar & Lounge this Saturday 18 December, with a newly curated cocktail and beverage program designed to provide an elevated and welcoming drinking experience for all guests.

Aiming to be the city’s hot spot for nightlife, Vasco Bar & Lounge will offer a live entertainment line-up for the festive season including DJ Ted every Friday during December as well as a special edition on 19 December, starting from 9pm.

Duo band Riya and Ray will also spice up Christmas with their contemporary pop hits on 18, 20 and 25 December from 9pm.

The Vasco cocktail program captures the story of the eponymous Portuguese navigator Vasco da Gama, who charted a trade route to India in search of adventure during the age of exploration. His journeys and discoveries around the cape of Africa are reflected in each of the drink offerings, with rich spices and inspired ingredients to be found in each of the signature cocktails, such as The Contender, a mix strawberry gin, mandarin, cucumber and pickled jalapeno.

A selection of house favorite signature cocktails have been revisited on the menu for dedicated fans of Vasco’s previous cocktail list, including the Passionfruit Poncha, made of white cane rum, honey, fresh lemon, grapefruit and passionfruit.

For those looking to broaden their horizons, the spirits offering at Vasco will offer tailored “Flights” – spirit offerings which take guests on guided tasting flights to explore different styles of rums, cognacs and whiskies from around the globe.

New daily rituals will become part of the culture at Vasco, including a daily offering of the welcoming and refreshing “Shipman’s Punch”, available upon arrival for each guest and rotating to reflect seasonal and fresh ingredients, refreshing afternoon Spritzes and a “Parting Shot” – a bracing farewell to guests involving a signature house shot.

Nightly events will return to Vasco with a DJ mixing each Friday, a live house band performing on Saturday nights and weekly engagements such as Tuesday’s “Smoke & Bubbles” night – an exclusive event for discerning individuals where all ladies receive a complimentary glass of champagne topped with a smoke-filled flavor bubble. They can also try their hand at winning a bottle of champagne.

Wednesday nights will host a weekly “Friends of Vasco” event with cocktail discounts for members of the Macau hospitality industry, as well as a “Flight Night” where all spirits flights will be offered at discount.

Thursday nights will also host late evening “Night Owls” Happy Hours, with drink specials available from 10pm till late for all guests.

Vasco will position itself as a hub for the community, with plans for a calendar of events including guided tastings of exquisite rums, whiskies and cognacs by recognized educators, guest cocktail bartending shifts and exclusive events for all friends of Vasco, such as a performance of The High Rollers band on 8 January 2022.
