CLAIMS TO FAME
- A 10-year veteran at MGM China

NOTCHING 10 YEARS with MGM China in 2021, Hubert Wang was rewarded for his service in June last year when he was promoted to the role of President and Chief Operating Officer following the retirement of CEO Grant Bowie.
Serving directly under Pansy Ho, Wang – formerly MGM China’s VP of Finance and CFO – is tasked with overseeing Business Development, Casino Operations, Hospitality, Security and the Digital & Technology Solutions divisions.
That he should hold such responsibility over the company’s gaming interests comes as no surprise. Before joining MGM, he spent time in the United States working in an array of property operations and corporate finance roles for Las Vegas Sands, Caesars Entertainment and Penn National. His time with Caesars, then known as Harrah’s, included riverboat development projects plus financing and M&A.
Upon joining LVS, he returned to Asia where he was part of the pre-opening teams on The Venetian Macao, opened in 2007, and Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands, which opened in 2010. He joined MGM China in July 2011.
Wang holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Memphis and dual bachelor degrees in Industrial Management and English language from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
