MGM Resorts Japan has announced that it is now an official platinum partner of Osaka Evessa, which plays in Japan’s professional basketball League.
Osaka Evessa was the first champion of Japan’s “B League” and besides winning three consecutive titles, is known for its focus on entertainment elements.
MGM Resorts has shown an affiliation for supporting sports with its Major League Baseball sponsorship and partnering with pro boxer Ryota Murata, which matches Osaka Evessa’s “professional spirit to pursue victory and not forget to give the people a good time.”
MGM Resorts Japan CEO Jason Hyland said, “Through supporting Osaka Evessa, we hope to promote basketball in Japan and help invigorate Osaka’s sporting industry.”
Naoki Yasui, CEO of Human Planning, operator of Osaka Evessa, added, “We have been aiming to create a venue that everyone can enjoy since B League started. We would like to work with the world’s top entertainment companies to develop the basketball community and the local economy in Osaka.”
