A huge week for Japan’s burgeoning IR industry kicks off today with the opening of the 1st Japan IR Expo 2019 in Osaka.
To be held at INTEX Osaka today and Thursday, the 1st Japan IR Expo 2019 is a two-day exhibition and conference bringing together foreign IR operator candidates and local businesses alongside a variety of industry experts including local government representatives.
Inside Asian Gaming, which is Lead Media Partner for the event, will have a heavy presence at the Expo with its editorial team on the ground and a dedicated booth on the exhibition floor. The May edition of IAG Japan will also be available at the show.
Show organizer Innovent hosted the 1st Kansai IR Showcase in April 2018 featuring exhibits from six IR operators and attended by the Osaka city mayor and Osaka governor at the time. It also hosted the 1st Hokkaido IR Showcase in January of this year.
Also launching on Thursday this week in Tokyo is the Japan Gaming Congress, a two-day conference featuring speakers from a variety of industry experts and candidate operators, including MGM Resorts, Las Vegas Sands, Galaxy Entertainment Group, Melco Resorts and Entertainment and Hard Rock Japan.
