Surveillance breaches have cost Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands S$475,000 in fines.
The Casino Regulatory Authority said the resort failed to comply with regulations in three instances dating back to September 2011.
The first, which led to a $150,000 fine, was for failing to retain casino surveillance footage for the duration specified by law. The second, costing $100,000, was for failing to ensure continuous recording of casino surveillance footage. The third, resulting in a $225,000 penalty, was for not having a notification system in place to alert the casino of failures to the surveillance system.
