Dr Stanley Ho, the founder of Macau casino operator SJM Holdings and its predecessor STDM, will celebrate his 90th birthday next month. But he’ll be doing it quietly in his birthplace Hong Kong, not Macau said SJM’s Chief Executive Dr Ambrose So, who has worked for Dr Ho since 1975.
“He has only recently been discharged from hospital. But when conditions permit he would very much like to come to Macau,” said Dr So at an SJM press event on Wednesday .
Asked if the company was preparing something special for Dr Ho’s birthday, Dr So said yes, but declined to elaborate.
