The sister of Dr Stanley Ho Hung-sun, Nanette Ho Yuen Hung, passed away on the afternoon of 28 February, according to an obituary notice issued by STDM on Saturday morning.

The notice said Ms Ho was 106 years of age but her Chinese language Wikipedia page notes her year of birth as 1920, which would put her at 102 or 103.

Stanley Ho was born into a large family of 13 siblings, with Ho Yuen Hung the eighth in the family. She was the granddaughter of Hong Kong tycoon Ho Fook.

She was a shareholder and permanent honorary director of STDM and treasurer of SJM.

The obituary was published in the Chinese-language Macao Daily News and states that Ho Yuen Hung “had a lifelong passion for work, education and charity.”

She married her classmate Fung Kai Tak (馮啟德) in 1942. The following year she gave birth to a daughter, Selene Fung. For many years she raised her daughter alone but Selene Fung died of illness in 1999 at the age of 56.

In Ho’s later years, she lived with Stanley Ho’s fourth wife Angela Leong. They were close to each other, and Ho Yuen Hung was also close to Leong’s four children.
