Paul Newson is a Principal at Vanguard Overwatch, and the founder of the gambling law and regulation conference Regulating the Game held in Sydney and London.

Paul was a former Deputy Secretary in the NSW Department of Justice responsible for emergency management and liquor, gambling & racing public policy and regulation in NSW. Paul is a patron and former president of the International Association of Gaming Regulators and former trustee of the NSW Responsible Gambling Fund.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts (Politics), a Bachelor of Laws, a Master of Legal Studies, and a Master of Law & Management.
