Macau concessionaire SJM Resorts has announced a pay rise for its staff, set to take effect from 1 April and expected to benefit 99.5% of its employees.
SJM said the pay rise was in recognition of its employees’ hard work and dedication.
All eligible team members who joined the company before 1 January 2024 and who receive a monthly base salary of MOP$16,000 (US$1,985) or below will receive a salary increase of MOP$600 (US$75), while those with a monthly salary above MOP$16,000 will receive a 2.5% increment.
SJM stated, “The company is pleased to witness the continuous growth of its team members. United as one, SJM and its team members will continue to strive for high quality innovative developments, injecting new momentum and vitality into the Macau economy.”
All six of Macau’s concessionaires have now announced salary increases for their employees, with similar rates of increase for each company. All six have also announced that they will be paying bonuses before Chinese New Year
