New Zealand’s SkyCity Entertainment Group says it has expanded its Senior Leadership Team via the addition of Steve Salman – currently head of the company’s online gaming arm.

The appointment of Salman, who joined SkyCity in February 2019 as SkyCity Online Director, follows a review of the company’s ongoing executive structure, it said.

Based in the UK, Salman is currently Managing Director SkyCity Malta and responsible for developing and leading SkyCity’s online gaming strategy, including overseeing the operations of the SkyCity Online Casino, launched in 2019.

SkyCity Online Casino is operated out of Malta by Gaming innovation Group, which holds an 11% equity stake in the online business.

According to SkyCity’s financial results for the year ended 30 June 2022, published late August, the online business saw revenues rise by 21.5% to NZ$17 million and EBITDA by 77.1% to NZ$14.5 million in FY22.

The company says it has around 10,000 weekly users across New Zealand.
