Operations and marketing innovator behind Ponte 16
Success Universe continues to take the fight up to Macau’s multinational casino operators by punching well above its weight. Chaired by Sonny Yeung, the company reported a 232% increase in profit attributable to owners in the first six months of 2019 thanks to a higher share of profit from its Macau integrated resort, Ponte 16.
Ponte 16 benefits from some unique geography. As the only casino on the city’s historic Inner Harbour it’s got a sizable footprint, 2.3 hectares in all, which provides space for a more expansive offering than many of its competitors on the Macau peninsula: an outdoor pool, a fitness center and sauna, a L’Occitane-branded spa, nine restaurants, cafes and lounges and seven multi-purpose meeting rooms.
Ponte 16 offers 109 gaming tables, including 98 mass gaming tables, seven high-limit tables and four VIP tables.
Having overcome the effects of Typhoon Hato in 2017 – which flooded the main gaming floor and forced closure of the casino for a number of weeks afterwards – Success Universe has mastered the art of playing to its strengths.
