Philippines gaming technology supplier DigiPlus Interactive Corp said Wednesday it expects to go live with its Brazil iGaming operations in September.
The offering will include an extensive line-up of livestreamed games, slots, table games and exclusive self-developed digital entertainment content, it explained.
DigiPlus, a leader in the Philippines’ rapidly rising remote gaming space, is also the operator of leading Philippine online bingo platform BingoPlus, sportsbook ArenaPlus and growing casual and arcade gaming platform GameZone.
In a filing, the company noted that Brazil, with a population of over 200 million and internet penetration of nearly 90%, is one of Latin America’s fastest-growing gaming markets with an estimated market size of around US$4.6 billion for iGaming according to a report from LCA Economic Consulting.
DigiPlus is one of a handful of operators to have been awarded an iGaming license as part of Brazil’s efforts to establish a structured legal framework for iGaming. The company has already built a local team headed by country manager Graham Tidey.
“We are excited to bring world-class entertainment to new markets, bringing the strengths and expertise that we have established in the Philippines,” said DigiPlus Chairman Eusebio Tanco. “Our entry into Brazil is part of our strategic expansion program to usher DigiPlus’ next phase of growth.”
DigiPlus explained that the launch of its Brazil operations in September forms part of its strategy to expand its market leadership beyond Southeast Asia.
