Philippines gaming technology firm DigiPlus Interactive Corp has been granted by the Brazilian government a Definitive Authority to operate sports betting and other online games in Brazil, the company has announced.
In a filing, DigiPlus said its local subsidiary DigiPlus Brazil Interactive Ltda said it had received the Definitive Authority from the Secretariat of Awards and Bets, making it part of the 10% of total applicants to receive approval.
The company had previously revealed that it had passed the qualification stage for a federal license and was in the final stages of the licensing process, describing Brazil’s newly regulated iGaming sector as one of Latin America’s most dynamic and rapidly growing gaming markets in the world.
DigiPlus Chairman Eusebio Tanco stated recently, “We remain confident in our ability to align with Brazil’s regulatory requirements and introduce world-class gaming experiences to this dynamic market. This underscores our dedication to expanding into a new region while maintaining our focus on the Philippines as our core market.”
DigiPlus is known in the Philippines for its BingoPlus and ArenaPlus platforms, among others.
