Foreigner-only casino operator Grand Korea Leisure (GKL) reported casino revenue of KRW34.8 billion (US$25.5 million) in June, representing a 13.6% increase over May although down 6.0% compared with the same month last year.
The sequential increase follows a similar trend experienced by many of Korea’s foreigner-only properties, with Paradise Co and Lotte Tour having reported a strong run of month-on-month growth since the start of the year. Lotte Tour’s Jeju Dream Tower also reported record table drop and casino visitation for June.
GKL, which operates three casinos in Seoul and Busan under the Seven Luck brand, saw table revenue rise 16.6% month-on-month to KRW31.6 billion (US$23.2 million) in June while slot machine revenue fell 9.0% to KRW3.20 billion (US$2.35 million).
This came despite an 8.1% year-on-year decline in drop amount to KRW300.9 billion (US$221 million). Drop amount was up 1.5% year-on-year.
Casino revenue for the first six months of 2025 combined sits at KRW209.9 billion (US$154 million), up 9.0% on the same period last year.
