Foreigner-only casino operator Grand Korea Leisure reported casino revenue of KRW30.6 billion (US$22.4 million) in May, up 4.0% year-on-year but down 15.3% compared with April.
GKL’s casino revenue comprised a 1.9% year-on-year increase in table revenue to KRW27.1 billion (US$19.8 million) and a 24.1% rise in slots revenue to KRW3.53 billion (US$2.58 million).
This came on the back of a 14.1% year-on-year increase in drop amount to KRW327.2 billion (US240 million). While revenue was down compared with April, table drop was 0.6% higher on a sequential basis.
Casino revenue for the first five months of 2025 combined sits at KRW175.1 billion (US$128.2 million), up 12.5% on the same period last year.
GKL operates three casinos in South Korea in Seoul and Busan under the Seven Luck brand.
