Travellers International Hotel Group Inc (TIHGI), the operator of Manila’s Newport World Resorts, will unveil two new Gordon Ramsay restaurant concepts at its Mactan Newtown township in Cebu.

The expansion follows the launch of Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill Philippines at Newport World Resorts in late 2024. The Mactan Newtown is a 30-hectare beachfront township by TIHGI’s sister company Megaworld that is home to two hotels with a combined 1,100 room keys plus multiple residential and office towers, a school and other facilities. The development will also become home to US$400 million casino and hotel development from 2026, the company announced last year.

The two new dining concepts at Mactan Newtown township include Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips and Street Burger by Gordon Ramsay – due to open side by side by the middle of this year.

Gordon Ramsay

Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips will offer fast-casual flair and over-the-counter style restaurant serving variations of its signature take on the British classic, alongside options such as Lobster & Shrimp, Dirty Chips and handcrafted milkshakes.

Right next door, Street Burger by Gordon Ramsay aims to flip the script on the classic American diner with a bold lineup including the much Idiot Burger, the G.F.C. (Gordon’s Fried Chicken) Burger and the O.G.R. Burger, TIHGI explained.

“Cebu is a dynamic center of tourism in the Philippines and our township in Mactan Island is the perfect tourism hub in a prime location near the airport,” said TIHGI Executive Chairman Kevin L. Tan.

“The Mactan Newtown is also a vibrant commercial and leisure hub. With the entry of Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips and Street Burger by Gordon Ramsay, we will introduce dynamic dining concepts that will further enhance the township’s appeal, not just for visitors, but also for the growing community who live and work there.”
