Philippine gaming technology firm DigiPlus saw is net income rise by 207% to Php12.6 billion (US$219 million) in 2024, driven by sustained momentum in its retail gaming segment and the successful launch of new livestreamed games.
It also benefited from the continued expansion of its game portfolio across its BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, SpinPlus and GameZone platforms, the company said Friday.
The surge in income came off the back of a 176% year-on-year increase in profit to Php75.2 billion (US$1.31 billion), with EBITDA rising by 192% to Php13.9 billion (US$242 million), which DigiPlus said reflects it ability to scale efficiently and optimize its expanding user base. The company had over 40 million registered users across its digital platforms at end-2024, it explained.
DigiPlus finished the year by posting a 93% year-on-year increase in net income in the December quarter to Php3.8 billion (US$66 million), with revenues rising 110% to Php23.7 billion (US$412 million) and EBITDA by 103% to Php4.6 billion (US$80 million).
The company said that one of its biggest growth drivers was the introduction of “uniquely Filipino, culturally resonant and technology-driven games” such as Pinoy Drop Ball – the first-ever livestreamed drop ball game in the Philippines – and local favorite Color Game.
DigiPlus noted that it paid Php33.7 billion (US$586 million) in taxes and regulatory fees in 2024 while continuing to support local charities.
“Our success directly translates into meaningful contributions to national development – funding essential public services and infrastructure that benefit millions of Filipinos,” said DigiPlus Chairman Eusebio Tanco.
The company announced a cash dividend of Php0.86 per outstanding common share for FY24, payable on 4 April 2025.
