Southeast Asian casino operator Donaco International Ltd reported a 12% increase in group-wide revenue and a 17% increase in EBITDA in 1H25, with improvements at its two casinos in Cambodia and Vietnam highlighting steady growth across the business. Such growth follows implementation of stringent financial management and increased traffic from tourism activities, the company said in an ASX filing.
Revenue of AU$21.8 million (US$13.6 million) in the six months to 31 December 2024 included net revenue of AU$14.1 million (US$8.8 million) at Star Vegas in Poipet, Cambodia, up 5% year-on-year, while EBITDA grew by 6% to AU$8.1 million (US$5.0 million). Donaco pointed to an increase in average daily visitation to 949 players for the first half of FY25, driven by the membership loyalty program Donaco launched in January 2024.
At Aristo in northern Vietnam, revenue grew by 27% year-on-year to AU$7.8 million (US$4.8 million) with EBITDA surging by 40% to AU$4.9 million (US$3.0 million).
Group net profit after tax increased to AU$7.8 million (US$4.8 million) from AU$5.7 million (US$3.5 million) a year earlier.
“At a group level Donaco performed strongly in the first half of 2025, building on the turnaround strategy implemented over a year ago and driven by our rigorous financial management and increased tourism activities across our operations,” said Donaco’s Non-Executive Chairman, Porntat Amatavivadhana.
“Over the past six months, the Company has grown its revenue and EBITDA, with both operations generating positive cash flow. Aristo performed particularly well, and we’re confident that the operations will benefit from the upcoming opening of the new Sapa airport.”
