Darwin’s Mindil Beach Casino Resort has named veteran gaming executive Brad Morgan as its new General Manager following the recent departure of Sean Knights.
The appointment sees Morgan come full circle, having previously served as General Manager of the property – then known as SkyCity Darwin – between 2010 and 2014, before it was purchased by current owner Delaware North in 2019.
Morgan has since spent six years as CEO of The Ville Resort Casino in Townsville and as CEO of Darwin Turf Club.
“I am looking forward to playing a leading role in supporting Delaware North’s aim of injecting further investment into Mindil Beach Casino Resort and creating more local jobs, to maintain the status of the business as one of the largest private-sector employers in Darwin,” said Morgan, who commences on 3 March.
“Since I last worked at the property, I have always kept a close eye on Mindil Beach Casino Resort because of my previous connection.
“I am excited to once again lead what is an iconic Northern Territory business.”

Delaware North Managing Director – Australia/New Zealand, Gary Brown, added, “Brad’s deep knowledge of the local market, combined with a proven track record of generating strong commercial returns while maintaining a focus on compliance and community engagement, makes him an outstanding addition to our team.
“As one of the world’s leading tourism and hospitality companies with operations across the globe, Delaware North is strongly committed to being an integral part of local communities where our businesses are located, including Mindil Beach Casino Resort.”
Morgan’s return comes after IAG recently revealed that former Mindil Beach General Manager Knights had been appointed as COO of NUSTAR Resort and Casino in Cebu, Philippines.
