Philippines real estate firm Belle Corp, best known as Melco Resorts & Entertainment’s partner in City of Dreams Manila, has outlined its interest in further integrated resort expansion opportunities with the emerging gaming hub of Clark at the top of its list.
The company issued a statement on Thursday regarding its interest in strategic gaming and tourism investments, confirming that it has recently filed an application for a Clark casino license and continues to pursue IR development within the Clark Freeport Zone.
“Clark’s strategic location, with accessibility to major foreign tourist markets such as China, Hong Kong SAR, Singapore, South Korea and Japan, strengthens its appeal as a gaming and tourism hub,” said Belle Corp President and CEO Armin Raquel Santos. “Belle is well-prepared to explore opportunities that align with this growth trajectory.”
The move, Belle Corp explained, underscores its intent to cement its position in the gaming sector while contributing to the nation’s economic development through tourism.
“We are committed to identifying ventures with high growth potential, particularly in the gaming space, while ensuring that these align with our broader goals of shareholder value creation and inclusive progress,” Raquel Santos said.
“The tourism sector stands to gain significantly from the gaming industry’s recovery, and we are committed to playing a key role in this resurgence.”
Belle Corp’s Clark casino application has been submitted via its majority-owned subsidiary Premium Leisure Corp (PLC).
PLC is the director partner of Melco Resorts in City of Dreams Manila where it holds a revenue share agreement, while Melco also pays rent to Belle Corp for use of the land upon which the integrated resort sits.
