Clark International Airport, the primary international access point to the Clark Freeport Zone north of Manila, has reported a 20% year-on-year increase in passenger volume to 2.4 million passengers in 2024, of which 65% were international visitors.
According to information released by the airport’s operator on Monday, 2024 also included a 29% increase in total flight operations to 19,221, with 53% of those flights to and from overseas ports.
“These numbers are more than just statistics; they represent the dedication of everyone involved in making Clark a valuable gateway to the Philippines,” said Noel Manankil, CEO of operator Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corp (LIPAD).
“Our commitment to providing exceptional service to our passengers remains a primary focus while maintaining a close partnership with government stakeholders to ensure regional growth and global connectivity.”
LIPAD said that initiatives such as the implementation of minimum performance specifications and standards, regular audits by the Airports Council International and robust passenger feedback systems had ensured the airport consistently meets global standards and enhances the travel experience.
The emerging gaming hub of Clark is currently home to seven casinos: Hann Casino Resort, Royce Hotel & Casino, D’Heights Resort & Casino, Casino Plus at Hotel Stotsenberg, Midori Clark Hotel and Casino and Fontana Leisure Parks and Casino, plus the PAGCOR-run Casino Filipino Capital at Xenia Hotel.
