A US$1.1 billion hotel and casino project being developed in Manila by LET Group’s Philippines subsidiary Suntrust Resort Holdings will open in the fourth quarter of 2025, suggesting further delays in bringing the Entertainment City precinct’s fifth casino-resort to life. Suntrust had until now described only a 2025 launch, having previously targeted opening in late 2024.
The update, part of Suntrust’s Quarterly Report for 3Q24, included a progress report on development with the company confirming that construction of structural works and major facade systems up to the roof level has been completed.
“The mechanical, electrical and plumbing and fire protection systems in major plantrooms have been substantially completed and part of the system has commenced testing and commissioning,” it said.
“Architectural builders and fit-out works, and external civil works are in progress. Management aims to commence the operations of a 5-star hotel and casino establishment (Main Hotel Casino) in the fourth quarter of 2025.”
Set to become a key asset of LET Group and another of its subsidiaries Summit Ascent – both of which are direct investors – the Manila hotel and casino project will offer 475 luxury hotel rooms, a casino with 281 gaming tables, 1,126 slot machines and 134 electronic table games, a pool deck, spa, wellness center, ballroom and MICE space, multiple theaters, a “grand opera house”, food mall and four cinemas.
