Leading Korean foreigner-only casino operator Paradise Co reported casino revenue of KRW60.3 billion (US$43.9 million) in October, flat compared with the same month in 2023 and down by a very slight 1.3% versus September.
The October figure included a 1.6% sequential decline in table games revenue to KRW55.8 billion (US$40.6 million) while machine revenue grew by 3.4% to KRW4.45 billion (US$3.24 million).
Table drop of KRW542.4 billion (US$394 million) was down 3.8% on September and 0.7% compared with the same period in 2023.
Casino revenues for the first 10 months of 2024 combined remain up 7.9% year-on-year to KRW674.3 billion (US$490 million) on a 13.9% improvement in drop to KRW5.75 trillion (US$4.18 billion).
Paradise, which recently revealed plans to develop a luxury hotel in Seoul and upgrade its VIP gaming areas to improve its appeal to international guests, operates four casinos in Korea including integrated resort Paradise City in Incheon – a joint venture with Japan’s Sega Sammy – plus casinos in Seoul, Busan and Jeju.
