Links to a fake news Macau media website have recently been circulating online, with the website in question publishing a purported interview of Mr Francis Lui, Vice Chairman of Galaxy Entertainment Group, by the Vice Chairman and CEO of Inside Asian Gaming, Andrew W Scott.
While Mr Lui has been interviewed by Mr Scott on a number of occasions, the most recent of which was published by IAG in June 2023, the false and malicious purported interview on the fake news website is a total fabrication designed to mislead the general public. IAG categorically condemns this entirely false, misleading and incorrect story.
Inside Asian Gaming urges all members of the public to be vigilant in their consumption of media, skeptical of claims which seem too good to be true, and avoid being victimized by financial scams.
We remind all members of the public that such use of the images of Mr Lui, Mr Scott, or any other persons without their express permission, and/or such attribution of false statements to any person is illegal.
As a leading media publisher that exercises the utmost degree of integrity and honesty in its publishing practices, IAG takes this matter very seriously and reserves all legal rights, claims and options to mount appropriate legal action, including but not limited to reporting the matter to police and/or other judicial authorities, or the commencement of litigation against bad actors engaging in such behavior.
