Manila’s Solaire Resort has issued a warning to the public about the unauthorized sale of hotel rooms on certain social media platforms, and to individuals said to be selling comped rooms for financial gain.
In a statement, the company noted that “complimentary rooms may not be transferred, assigned or sold to any party without the consent and approval of Solaire Resorts”, adding that it reserves the right to “suspend, revoke or withdraw any entitlements granted to a patron who is found to have violated the same.”
This, Solaire explained, comes after it was brought to the company’s attention that several people and groups have been selling hotel rooms at Solaire Resort Entertainment City and Solaire Resort North to the public through social media platforms such as facebook, particularly under the account of Staycation@PH.
“The public is hereby advised that Solaire Resorts is not in any way connected or affiliated with the aforesaid sellers and their respective facebook account,” it said. “Any bookings made through these unauthorized sellers and/or channels will not be recognized and accepted by Solaire Resorts.
“The public is hereby advised that Solaire Resorts is not, and will not, in any manner be responsible for any and all transactions made in relation with the said facebook account, and similar unauthorized platforms, and that those who use the same do so at their own risk.”
