Hong Kong & Macao International Airport Transportation Service Company Limited announced Friday that it will increase the frequency of buses between the Macau Boundary Crossing Facilities and Hong Kong Airport from Monday 15 July to cope with an expected increase in summer vacation travelers.
The Macau Hong Kong Airport Direct bus, which utilizes the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, will extend its service hours and increase its frequency between 15 July and 31 August from the original 32 trips per day to 38 trips per day.
The last bus from Hong Kong Airport to the Macau Boundary Crossing Facilities of the HZMB will depart at 11pm, while the last bus from Macau to Hong Kong Airport will depart at 9 pm.
The company noted that the summer vacation is approaching and there will be a significant increase in the number of Macau residents traveling between Macau and Hong Kong International Airport as well as the number of international travelers, therefore, more convenient and efficient travel services are required.
Earlier, MGTO Deputy Director Cheng Wai Tong pointed out that average daily visitor arrivals in July was around 87,000, and it is expected that the hotel occupancy rate will exceed 90% during the summer vacation.
