Philippines-based DigiPlus Interactive Corp, formerly known as Leisure & Resorts World Corp, has reported net income of Php2 billion (US$34.9 million) in 1Q24, up by a whopping 358% year-on-year thanks to the heightened contribution of its gaming offerings.
The impressive results came on the back of a 226% increase in revenues to Php13.6 billion (US$237.1 million) as user traffic to its flagship platforms BingoPlus and ArenaPlus continued to grow, combined with fresh contributions from the company’s new game offerings.
EBITDA grew by 313% year-on-year to Php2.1 billion (US$36.6 million).
Recapping its new game offerings, DigiPlus said it has continued to introduce “innovative and exciting product offerings that cater to a variety of demographics and lifestyle preferences”, including the launch of Perya Game, a local leisure and entertainment game platform with a nod to traditional Filipino carnival.
The platform has brought popular local games such as “Color Games”, “Pusoy”, “Lucky 9”, “Tongits”, and “Pa Pula, Pa Puti” online.
