G2E Asia organizer Reed Exhibitions (RX) said Friday it expects to attract around 8,000 professional visitors to this year’s show when it returns to The Venetian Macao from 4 to 6 June.

The long-running expo will celebrate its 15th anniversary in 2024 by hosting its first full-sized Macau event since 2019. The show will cover around 20,000 square meters of exhibition space with more than 100 exhibitors locked in, RX said at a pre-event press conference.

It will also feature a dedicated Technology Zone and Tech Talk Stage in the exhibition halls, a specialized area to spotlight the latest industry innovations and feature presentations on identity management, security, hospitality and customer relationship management.

Accompanying the expo will be a conference, to be produced by Inside Asian Gaming as Lead Media and Production Partner.

The first day of the conference is titled “Asian Gaming Market Forum” and will focus on themes such as the Outlook for Asian Gaming Markets, Emerging Markets and Spotlight on Thailand and Middle East.

Day 2 of the conference is titled “Strategy Around Technology And Innovations For Gaming/Cyber Security/Responsible Gaming Forum” and will kick off with a topical exploration of smart gaming table technology. This panel, named Smart Table: New Era of Cohabitating with Innovations, will feature representatives of suppliers Angel and Walker Digital Table Systems, and of operators MGM China and Star Entertainment Group.

Other panels on the day will include AI & Machine Learning: Boosting Casino Marketing, Harnessing AI for Business & Customer Intelligence, Moving the Dial with Cyber Security, and The Latest in Cybersecurity: How to Reduce an Attack and Recover Quickly.

The final day of the symposium will feature the IAGA Best Practices Institute, which will address three topics – What’s Happening in Asia Pacific: Regulatory Updates and Understanding Growing Cross-Border Player Acquisition Risks, The Importance of Robust Data Protection Measures, and The Latest Financial Crime Advancements and Challenges.

Speakers recently announced by RX a raft of industry analysts, among them Bloomberg Intelligence’s Angela Hanlee, Angus Chan of UBS, Morgan Stanley’s Praveen Choudhary and Seaport’s Vitaly Umansky. More will be announced soon, RX said.

Like last year’s smaller show, RX will also be organizing the Asian IR Expo to work in tandem with G2E Asia, with panels including Integrated Resort Focus, Arts & Entertainment, and Sports & Entertainment.

Chien-Ee Yeh, President of APAC for RX, said he was pleased with the return of a full-scale G2E Asia to Macau this year.

“We are very excited this year to come back to full scale. I think we saw a much stronger demand and response from the market.

“Some of our customers have told us they want to come back to Macau [after two years in Singapore] and that’s why we’re going to do a full-scale show here.”

On the return of the Asian IR Expo running in parallel, he added, “Operators are diversifying into integrated resorts, so we have to keep evolving to meet customer demand. In the mid-term, the two exhibitions will not be separate, they are going to be held at the same time. That’s what’s important to our customers and visitors.”
