G2E Asia returns to Macau as a full-sized event for the first time in five years in 2024, with a raft of new features and an insightful conference schedule awaiting attendees.
The first full-sized G2E Asia to take place in Macau since 2019 will feature a dedicated Technology Zone and a Tech Talk Stage in the exhibition hall on which innovators will showcase new products for the industry.
Celebrating its 15th anniversary since debuting in 2009, this year’s G2E Asia and co-located Asian IR Expo, to be held at The Venetian Macao from 4 to 6 June, is slated to cover 20,000 square meters of floor space with more than 100 exhibitors confirmed.
It is the first time a fully-fledged G2E Asia has been held in Macau in five years, with the 2022 and 2023 versions held in Singapore due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A smaller boutique edition of the event took place in Macau last July.
According to organizer Reed Exhibitions (RX), technology will be a core theme of this year’s expo, with Chien-Ee Yeh, President of APAC for RX, telling IAG, “Programming will include innovative technologies and solutions for hospitality and customer relationship management, payment and security to better drive customer engagement and enhance efficiency in the industry.”
As always, the expo will be complemented by the G2E Asia conference, with Inside Asian Gaming to produce the extensive conference program via its recently announced role as G2E Asia Lead Media and Production Partner.
IAG will manage the entire G2E Asia conference, including complete event management, speaker administration, conference reception, delegate sales, conference room management, sponsor sales and management, and the production of a special digital and print conference guide.
The G2E Asia Conference Program will, among many other topics, feature an in-depth look at the financial outlook for Asian gaming markets, with two panels dedicated to emerging markets, spotlights on Thailand and the Middle East, an insightful panel discussion on smart table innovations and technology experts discussing AI and cybersecurity.
The third day of the conference, the IAGA Best Practices Institute, will be organized by the International Association of Gaming Advisers, examining compliance and regulation challenges in Asia, data protection measures and the latest advancements in combating financial crime.
According to Chien-Ee Yeh, “The return of G2E Asia to Macau this year is a major milestone. Despite the challenges of recent years, Macau remains a top destination for gaming and entertainment tourism. This reflects the global confidence in Macau’s resilience and its importance to the global industry.
“Returning to Macau also allows G2E Asia to continue to uphold its reputation as the premier marketplace for professionals to network and discover new opportunities in this dynamic industry landscape. The fact that this year marks the 15th Anniversary of G2E Asia adds a special significance to being able to celebrate in Macau.
“With G2E Asia returning in full force, visitors can expect exhibitors to return in full force as well. Moreover, G2E Asia is co-located with the Asian IR Expo, a dedicated event for the integrated resorts industry. This provides attendees with fresh and relevant opportunities beyond gaming, aligning with evolving market trends.
“With such diverse offerings under one roof, it is a prime opportunity to explore a wide range of products and services, make connections, gain fresh perspectives, and discover new opportunities.”
