Data from Philippine gaming regulator PAGCOR has highlighted the ongoing dominance of Bloomberry Resorts Corp’s Solaire Resort Entertainment over the local casino market, having generated gross gaming revenues of Php61 billion (US$1.1 billion) in 2023. The data, published by the Inquirer this week, also shows Hann Casino Resort leading the way in Clark with GGR of Php11.9 billion (US$215 million), equivalent to Php1 billion (US$18 million) per month.
Running second in overall terms behind Solaire is Okada Manila with gaming revenues of Php44.5 billion (US$803 million) in 2023, followed Newport World Resorts with Php34.3 billion (US$619 million) and City of Dreams Manila with Php31.7 billion (US$572 million).
In Clark, D’Heights sits in second place behind Hann with GGR of Php7.9 billion (US$142 million), followed by Royce Hotel and Casino with Php4.9 billion (US$88 million).
Cebu’s Nustar, meanwhile, is said to have generated GGR of Php5.5 billion (US$99 million) – a solid performance given that development work around the property has continued throughout the past year.
Total industry revenue reached Php285.3 billion (US$5.15 billion) in 2023, of which more than 70% came from private licensees such as those in Manila’s Entertainment City and in Clark.
