The Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) is organizing another “Macau Week” in mainland China, to be held in Xiamen for five days from next Thursday alongside all six concessionaires.
The event follows previous “Macau Week” carnivals in Qingdao and Tianjin earlier in the year. This will therefore be the third time the MGTO has organized the event in mainland China.
The roadshow is set to include an overview of Macau, highlighting its cuisine, festivals and events, as well as an exhibition area for the Macau tourism industry comprising the six Macau concessionaires and local airlines.
The MGTO said the travel industry will provide RMB42 million worth of travel offers, including air tickets, hotel accommodation and food and beverage vouchers with the goal of attracting local residents to visit Macau.
The concessionaires will also provide various travel offers. Among them, MGM said it will offer travel discounts worth than MOP$13 million to attract Xiamen residents and tourists to Macau.
Galaxy Macau will also co-organize a culinary event in partnership with the MGTO and Andaz Xiamen Hotel to promote Macau’s reputation as a City of Gastronomy.
