Inside Asian Gaming has announced its “Christmas After Dark” MAD double header, with the third edition of Manila After Dark, MAD 20, to be held on the Nobu Manila patio at City of Dreams Manila on Friday 1 December and the next Macau After Dark, MAD 21, to be held at Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau’s Vasco Bar & Lounge on Friday 15 December 2023.

The theme of MAD 20 and MAD 21 is “Mad Santa” with guests invited to join Inside Asian Gaming to celebrate the end of another year while enjoying all these two wonderful venues have to offer. This double header stands as a fitting end to a flagship year for IAG in which the company expanded its Philippines presence with the launch of Manila After Dark and our inaugural “Super September” series of events – including the IAG Academy Summit and IAG Academy IR Awards – while also celebrating the Macau recovery story.

It is therefore fitting that we celebrate the first ever Christmas edition of Manila After Dark at City of Dreams Manila given our long-standing relationship with Melco Resorts & Entertainment.

Nobu Manila patio, City of Dreams Manila

The Nobu Manila patio with adjacent floating cabanas is surrounded by cooling water features and a lush garden. Amidst this relaxing and sophisticated ambiance, guests will indulge in festive specialties and innovative new-style Japanese cuisine popularized by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa.

“The Nobu patio on a cool December night will be the perfect venue to soak in the festive mood of Christmas, the most celebrated season in the Philippines,” said City of Dreams Manila Property President Geoff Andres. “The opportunity to connect with industry friends at IAG’s MAD year end event makes it an even more thrilling occasion to look forward to.”

Two weeks later, Macau After Dark celebrates Christmas for the third year in a row at Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau in what has become a must-attend event for the Macau gaming industry.

Well established in the heart of Macau, the upscale urban and lifestyle resort Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau offers a window into the city’s culturally rich heritage. The name “Grand Lapa” draws inspiration from the prestigious Lapa district in Lisbon, Portugal, where celebrities and aristocrats reside. As a true homegrown brand, the hotel celebrates Macau’s remarkable heritage in a tasteful and stylish manner.

Vasco Bar & Lounge, Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau

“We are excited to once again partner with IAG for their Christmas Macau After Dark year-end event at Vasco bar on 15 December,” said Rutger Verschuren, Area Vice President, Macau Operations for Artyzen Hospitality Group and General Manager of Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau.

“Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau is proud and pleased to host this special celebration at our hotel. Our Vasco Bar and Lounge has this unique blend of sophistication and ambiance, perfectly matching the expectations of the audience to kick off the Holiday Season in the right mood.”

Debuting in early 2019, MAD is a regular series of industry networking social events held in the Asian gaming hubs of Macau and Manila. Each MAD brings together key industry decision-makers with the people they want to meet in a relaxed and friendly environment. The event rotates around the region’s best hospitality venues – some well-known and some hidden gems.

Due to its enormous popularity, MAD is strictly by invitation only. Invited guests must RSVP and be confirmed by having an event entry ticket on their phones. All guests must supply their business cards upon arrival. There is also a select VIP list for each event.
