Galaxy Entertainment Group has launched its latest hotel with Andaz Macau officially opening to the public at Galaxy Macau today.
Part of the recently launched Galaxy International Convention Center at Galaxy Macau, Andaz Macau becomes the world’s largest Andaz hotel with more than 700 rooms and suites targeting both leisure and business guests. It is also the eighth hospitality brand within Galaxy Macau, forming part of the integrated resort’s expansive Phase 3 development.
Unique features of Andaz Macau include a dedicated check-in lounge catering to large MICE groups, a signature lounge, a bar and restaurant, a 24-hour state-of-the-art fitness center and a heated 19-meter indoor pool.
The hotel’s interior design, described as representative of nearby Old Taipa but expressed in a contemporary context, features elements of traditional Macau and the opportunity to learn about the city’s history, according to information from GEG.
Other features include “Juxtapose” – a series of steel sculptures by Malaysian artist Tang Mun Kian that pays tribute to the city’s historic architecture, iconic landmarks and the insights of local residents – while an array of artifacts on display includes intricately embroidered couture gowns “Golden Phoenix” and “Enchanted Mountains”.
“Macau Steps” is described as a one-of-a-kind staircase that reveals stories of the city’s past and present through more than 100 videos that create an engaging multisensory experience.
F&B includes all-day dining at Andaz Kitchen, comprising Chinese, Portuguese and Western cuisines in a space inspired by Macau’s iconic shophouses, while the connected Andaz Studio is designed for up to 80 guests and offers interactive experiences such as master chef cooking classes.
Andaz Lounge provides a relaxed space for MICE guests to unwind and network, and Andaz Bar offers creative cocktails prepared by a mixologist and craft beer produced by a local Macau brewery.
Andaz Macau, a Hyatt brand, adds to the 28 Andaz hotels located worldwide.
