After three years of the COVID-19 pandemic, many people have a new understanding of “life”. In collaboration with renowned Hong Kong fashion designer and media personality William Tang and Macau-based fashion designer and painter Vincent Cheang, Ponte 16 is presenting a 45-day art exhibition entitled When Tat Chi Met Chi Tat Duo Exhibition aimed at sharing a new appreciation of life and home through art.
The exhibition is co-organized by Ponte 16, Macau Communications Development Association and Zero Distance Cooperative, and features a series of new artworks based on the artistic dialogue between two Hong Kong and Macau designers.
The artworks include paintings, installations, new fashion design collections and related merchandise. Each piece is filled with the unique style and creativity of the two artists, interpreting and exploring their deep thoughts on “life” and the concept of “home” through different ways of expression.
As co-organizer, Ponte 16 has provided a unique venue for the event with Deputy Chairman and Executive Director of Ponte 16 operator Success Universe, Hoffman Ma, noting the venue has been supporting the diversified development of the Macau tourism industry and is committed to promoting in-depth cultural experiences within the local community.
“This exhibition is facilitated by travel platform ‘OLA’, which has brought together different partners to co-organize such art and cultural activities in Macau, integrating artistic and cultural experiences as an indispensable part in life and travel and thereby further enhancing Macau’s status as a world-class tourist destination,” Dr Ma said.
The When Tat Chi Met Chi Tat Duo Exhibition is on display on the second floor of Ponte 16 until 30 June and is free for the public to attend. The exhibition was recently extended, having previously been scheduled to finish in late May.
