The President and CEO of Philippines gaming technology firm DFNN Inc, Calvin Lim Eng Kiat, has been elected to the board of Sweden’s Lady Luck Games – a NASDAQ-listed firm that develops, produces and markets digital slot machines to gaming operators.

Lim’s appointment, officially announced by Lady Luck Games this week, comes after he recently acquired 15,052,049 shares in the company. He joins Per Eriksson, Claes Kalborg, Carl Falkenberg and Carina Beck on the board.

In a statement, Lim said, “We have great ambitions that will not only unify all stakeholders but also take Lady Luck Games to new heights in the iGaming industry.

“Lady Luck Games has built great products with many more in the pipeline. With such a great team combined with a vast industry network, there is huge potential to excel in both Europe and Asia. The only way from here is up.”

Lady Luck Games CEO Mads V. Jørgensen added, “With the investment from Calvin Lim Eng Kiat we have got a new very strong lead investor in LL Lucky Games. It’s an honor to welcome him in the Board of Directors in LL Lucky Games and we are proud that we can add such strong competences to our top management of the company.”

Lady Luck Games was founded in Stockholm in 2019 by a group of industry veterans and maintains a strong focus on the gameplay experience and sticky design, it said. The company boasts an ever-expanding portfolio of games, using in-house innovation and creativity with high-end technology.

Trading in LL Lucky Games shares began on the Nasdaq First North Growth Market on 23 June 2021.
