A new luxury golf and leisure resort being developed by Hann Philippines Inc, owner and operator of Hann Casino Resort in the Clark Freeport Zone, is set to become home to the country’s first and only PGA-affiliated golf courses and player development facilities.
Hann Group subsidiary The Hann Holdings Inc (HHI) announced Wednesday that it has signed a deal with the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) of America, setting the stage for a highly anticipated project that will see three world-class, 18-hole golf courses built as part of the upcoming Hann Reserve development. Hann Reserve will cover 450-hectares and feature an array of luxury accommodations, branded hotels and resorts, a mixed-use commercial center, premium villas and residences, and a 10-hectare public park among other amenities.
Hann had only hours earlier announced an agreement with South Korea’s POSCO Engineering and Construction Co Ltd to oversee both the Hann Reserve project and another, Hann Lux, which will be located nearby the existing Hann Casino Resort and be home to home to Sofitel Clark and Emblems Clark, plus a casino, high-end fashion stores, French-inspired cafes, convention facilities, residences and commercial areas.
“We have first given you the ultimate millionaire’s playground at Hann Casino Resort and we won’t stop there,” said Hann Philippines Chairman and CEO, Daesik Han.
“This time our goal is to cater to both local and foreign golfers and enthusiasts by providing them a world-class venue that can be expected of the PGA brand. This organization has marked their name around the world and here will rise the next premier destination for golfers.”
The first of the three golf courses within Hann Reserve will be designed and supervised by Nicklaus Design, a world-renowned leader in golf course design and innovations; the second by acclaimed South Korean professional golfer KJ Choi, while the third will be known as the Sir Nick Faldo Signature Golf Course, designed and named after the legendary former world No 1.
