Bloomberry Resorts Corp, the owner and operator of Manila’s Solaire Resort & Casino, has topped off its second Philippines integrated resort, Solaire Resort North, the company announced.

The topping off was completed at a ceremony on Monday attended by senior Bloomberry executives and Quezon City officials, including Mayor Joy Belmonte.

In a statement, Bloomberry said Solaire Resort aims to capture and cater to the northern and eastern markets of Metro Manila and the National Capital Region.

“Solaire Resort North is Quezon City’s first 5-star destination built to promote the city’s tourism sector and local economy,” it said. “The property is expected to also offer hotel, gaming, restaurants and bars, meeting facilities, and retail spaces like its pioneer development, Solaire Resort & Casino in Entertainment City in Paranaque.”

The topping off ceremony comes after Bloomberry Chairman and CEO Enrique K Razon Jr confirmed earlier this year that the IR, located on 1.5 hectares of land in Quezon, is on track for a 2023 launch.

“We’re still on track for a 2023 opening,” Razon said in April. “Solaire North will be an upscale mass-focused offering that, together with Solaire and the revamped Solaire Club, will profoundly expand our gaming footprint to take advantage of what we anticipate to be burgeoning post-pandemic domestic mass and regional premium mass demand.”

Bloomberry has also announced plans to develop a third integrated resort south of Manila in Cavite.
