Galaxy Macau has announced the appointment of the first Macau born and bred local to the helm of a Forbes five-star hotel in the SAR.
Joanne Chan was this week named Hotel Manager of Banyan Tree Macau, located at Galaxy Macau, where she will be tasked with overseeing all hotel operations.
In social media posts, Galaxy said Chan is “a homegrown talent, serving guests of Galaxy Macau for over a decade. She has held different roles in four of our hotels, steadily working her way up to become the first Macau native to be at the helm of a coveted Forbes five-star hotel in Macau.”
Chan’s previous roles include Executive Manager – Front Office and Hotel Operations at Broadway Macau and Executive Manager – Hotel Operations at Galaxy Hotel.
