Inside Asian Gaming is pleased to announce that the 11th instalment of networking social event Macau After Dark, MAD 11, will be held on Friday 17 December 2021 at Vasco – Bar & Lounge, Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau.

The theme of MAD11 is “Christmas After Dark – Vasco Sails Again!”

The event will be unique in that it comprises two events in one. Starting with MAD11 from 18:30 to 21:30, all MAD guests are invited to stay on for the official re-opening ceremony of the much-loved Vasco Bar & Lounge of Artyzen Grand Lapa, and then continue to celebrate, enjoying all that Vasco Bar has to offer.

Located on the mezzanine floor overlooking the hotel lobby, Vasco Bar & Lounge is a place to see and be seen. The Vasco relaunch will feature its newly curated cocktail program and beverage experience, celebrating the rich spices and ingredients inspired by the eponymous Portuguese navigator Vasco da Gama who charted a trade route to India during the age of exploration.

Positioning itself as the city’s latest hot spot for nightlife, the bar will launch its weekly engagements including “Smoke and Bubble” nights as well as “Friends of Vasco” nights with special offers for Macau industry members.

Nightly events will also be returning to Vasco, promising to deliver a party atmosphere that cannot be contained with live entertainment from DJs and musicians to truly celebrate this holiday season in style.

“We are excited to again support the renowned IAG Macau After Dark party, this time with the re-opening of Vasco Bar & Lounge,” said Mr Rutger Verschuren, Area Vice President – Macau Operations for Artyzen Hospitality Group and General Manager – Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau.

“Together, we will make it one of the most unique industry networking events in the city this year.

“We can’t wait to take guests on an intriguing journey. From the artisanal cocktail experience to the activations of the bar, every detail is designed to provide an elevated drinking experience for all.”

IAG Vice Chairman and CEO, Andrew W Scott, added, “We’re delighted to see the back of 2021 with this great IAG Christmas-themed MAD party with our good friends from Artyzen Grand Lapa.

“It will be an especially fun evening with our IAG MAD event morphing into the official re-opening event of the much-loved Vasco Bar, signifying another step in the post-pandemic return to normality for the Macau hospitality and tourism industry.”

MAD is a regular series of industry networking social events held in Asia’s gaming hub of Macau. Each MAD brings together key industry decision-makers with the people they want to meet in a relaxed and friendly environment. A new venue is chosen for each event.

Note that, due its enormous popularity, MAD is now strictly by invitation only. Invited guests must RSVP and be confirmed by having an event entry ticket on their phones. All guests must supply their business cards upon arrival. There is also a select VIP list for each event.
