Lotte Tour Development has announced plans to open the second hotel tower of its South Korean integrated resort, Jeju Dream Tower, on Monday 29 November.
The second tower will add an additional 850 rooms to the 750 rooms located in tower one, which opened its doors in December 2020, taking the total number of rooms under the Grand Hyatt Jeju brand to 1,600.
The hotel’s General Manager, Paul Kwok, said in a statement, “Grand Hyatt Jeju is the second-largest hotel in the world among more than 1,000 Hyatt hotels, and is the largest and only all-suite hotel in Asia Pacific. It is an iconic hotel.”
Jeju Dream Tower’s relocated casino opened in June, with the company reporting around 300 visitors per day during the first weeks of operation. Ahead of the opening of the second hotel tower, a representative of the company said, “With the Corona atmosphere and the opening of the second tower as an opportunity, we plan to carry out an active marketing strategy in preparation for more customers to visit.”
The tallest building in Jeju at 38 floors or 169 meters high, Jeju Dream Tower features a retail mall, 14 restaurants and bars, an outdoor pool deck, top floor skydeck with lounge, two spas and a casino boasting 150 tables and 300 slot machines.
