Tak Chun Group has donated MOP$300,000 (US$37,500) to the Holy House of Mercy (SCMM) Welfare Shop to support the provision of food hampers to 370 disadvantaged families.
The families were referred to by the General Union of Macao Residents Associations (UGAMM), the Macau Federation of Trade Unions (FAOM) and Hon Lok Centre of the Association of Parents of the People with Intellectual Disabilities of Macau, as well as the SCMM.
A ceremony was held this week, with the donation made by Tak Chun’s Chairman and Executive Director Levo Chan and received by President of the Board of Trustees of the SCMM, António José de Freitas.
Also in attendance were Chan Ka Leong, President of the UGAMM; Sam Iat Kuong, Vice President of the FAOM; Bruno Miguel dos Santos Nunes, Member of the Board of Trustees of the SCMM; Gisela Maria de Assis Fernandes Nunes, Secretary General of the SCMM; Cherie Wong, Senior Vice President of Tak Chun Group; Wayne Lio, Senior Vice President of Service Delivery and Arissa Cheong, Executive Director of Tak Chun Charity Association.
Tak Chun Group has donated a total of MOP$2.1 million (US$262,500) to the Holy House of Mercy (SCMM) Welfare Shop over the past seven years.
